Dr Carl Horton
Carl Horton is passionate about patient care and has travelled the world sharing his knowledge and lecturing extensively on treatment models and his pioneering research. After graduating from Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1996 Carl worked predominately in private general practice. He went on to complete an MSc in both periodontology and implantology. Carl, who has lectured on international platforms in San Francisco, Gothenburg and Athens, also assisted in the training of foundation stage dentists at Birmingham University, in both clinical practice and restorative procedures, as well as delivering postgraduate lectures. He is Co-director of the West Midlands MSc VSSA for dental implantology, and mentors those learning about implants.
Kate has over 28 years of experience in dentistry, starting as a Dental Assistant when she was 16. She completed the National Certificate for Dental Nursing in 2000. She achieved a BTEC Advanced Award in Dental Care Education in 2003, with Distinction. She also has a BTEC Advanced Diploma Award in Dental Care Education Co-ordination.
Kate was a Practice Manager of a fully private practice for Oasis also becoming their nationwide Ambassador for Patient Care Co-ordinators (PCCs) where she enjoyed sharing her experience and training new PCC’s in their roles. This allowed Kate to fully understand how to facilitate and guide patients throughout their treatment process and ensure the high level of service you should expect. In 2015 Kate took the opportunity to work along side Carl Horton, Implantologist, as an Implant Co-ordinator & Business Development Manager. She has since become a business partner of this ever expanding business.
