About Carl

Carl Horton is passionate about patient care and has travelled the world sharing his knowledge and lecturing extensively on treatment models and his pioneering research. After graduating from Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1996 Carl worked predominately in private general practice.

He went on to complete an MSc in both periodontology and implantology. Carl, who has lectured on international platforms in San Francisco, Gothenburg and Athens, also assisted in the training of foundation stage dentists at Birmingham University, in both clinical practice and restorative procedures, as well as delivering postgraduate lectures. He is Co-director of the West Midlands MSc VSSA for dental implantology, and mentors those learning about implants.

Carl has a jargon-free approach to dentistry, and joins a growing number of dentists who wish to challenge negative preconceptions and build a friendly, patient-focused image for their profession.
